The documentary was very interessing. We don’t have the chance to talk to people who lived here. And even if it was hard to watch I appreciated it.

With this documentary, I learn a lot of thing about the holocaust and the life in concentration camp. It was hard to listen what nazi do to jewish and other minority in Europe. They take the hair of people to sold it, take all of possession and kill them afther for majority.

I think is a really sad story. The men have to be really strong to say this history. The images were really horrible but is the reality during the war. I learn many things in the documentary. Most things were very sad. The life in camp was very a tortured for people.

I think that what Nazi did in world war II was horrible. Killing millions of people with no reasons at all is completely inacceptable. Holocaust should be a lesson for us and we should make in sort that it will never happen again .

I already knew a little about the prisoners’ conditions during the World War 2 but I had never seen images of it, so I was surprised and shocked at the same time. I think that it is horrible to make innocent people suffer this way. Like the survivor said, those who committed those crimes had no feelings.

I’m disasted because I don’t understand that an officer can kill some people for nothing! They are cruel. Furthemore, there are a children. How you can be able for kill a kids? How you can be able for kill everybody? They aren’t have a heart? This is terrible. That is disgusting because they use their hairs for mattress or other…They use them to the end… Poor people!

When I watched this video, I had a weir feeling. It is terrified what is happening… Many millions of people died in this place… The children, the women and the men died in the gas chamber or the bad condition, this is terrible. These people died only, because they were Jewish, this does not make sense. Watch as much the body, the hair, the suitcases and the shoes on this video is difficult psychologically, because if watch, how many person died… To many life were extinguished. The life is unfair.

I hope than never this history will reproduce…

It’s really horrible, despicable and even unfair! I was really shocked when I saw the images of people, children, mothers, fathers and old people dying and suffering. They didn’t know what was happening when they arrived, they didn’t know that they were going to die and not to work. I’m feeling so bad when I see young children suffering like that.

This is terrible! You can’t kill someone for no reason. The SS militairs could kill any person (mothers, babies, etc) for no reason and at any time. There’s no point at killing a baby, they can’t even speak! This is so horrible at my oppinion. You can’t kill someone just because of their religion or their look. The ones committed those crimes had no feelings! If you are humain and you have a family, you can’t just kill and burn people because you would think of their families and of their futurs.

This video show how it was hard to live in camp. I think this video is very interesting because we learn about jewish torture and about the bigest camp in allemagne (Germany).

  1. Hello, I’m anonymous. It was to much depressive for me. The people bodies where disgusting. The qualities of the video was bad. BUT! I’ve learned many things and that was the good points about it, we had real images another positive point. Holocaust is a delicated topic an interesting topic but, Oprah look like she tried to make it more depressive then it was. I like the We Remember sentence.

Every time it’s a shock to see what Hitler and the Nazis did. There aren’t words for this crime. Like Elie Wiesel said, We must never forget! It’s our responsibility to take care to let something like this never happens again. That’s why it’s important to talk about it. Thank you Thomas for showing this video in your class!

I think, that people don’t have the right to kill people without reason. even if you have one,I think people need a reasonable judgment before they are punished. This is an example, that we never forget about our past, because it decided how we are today.

When I saw this video I was shocked. I can’t believe that 1,1 to 1,5 million people died just in Auschwitz and that 75% of those who arrived at the camp were immediately killed. Those 75% people were probably the luckiest if we see how the other who skip the crematorium were miss-treated. In this camp, expectancy life was 4 months, it’s horrible. I cant stop thinking about the poor mother with their children. How people were piled up and how skinny they were, we could see the pain in there inanimate eyes. I can’t believe that one human could do this.

Walking through the huge death camp in silence but yet still feeling the death people and even hearing their scream must be really hard. The video made me feel emotional. The part where they showed the babies’ clothes, the suitcases, the shoes and the hair was really sad and horrific. When I saw that video, it hurted my feelings because it is not the actions of what we call an “human”. Humans have feelings and emotions, they can’t decide to end the life of a lot of another humans because they are different of them. We all have been born completely free but it doesn’t give us the right to kill the ones around us. It is a real nightmare on the planet to think that one person who controlled and entire army has decided to kill an entire race of people. Imagine the one of many who killed like 200 persons in a day, returns home with his family and a big smile and say to his family that he loves them. It’s so macabre and disgusting. I don’t know why humans like them deserved to lives on this planet, it make me seriously angry. Often, I am not that proud to live on a planet where everyone could decide to kill anyone when they want just for their own pleasure.

It’s an hard video to watch. Elie Weisel describes how it was in a way that makes us feel deep fellings and I surely want to go visit Auschwitz one day in my life to see more because I know that was just a little part of all the horror. They said that you feel more human than ever and I want to know what it feels like to be there. When he talks, it’s impossible to do anything else than listen. His words are touching and we need to remember the Holocaust forever. All the lives lost, all the torture, it’s just sad and horrible. I don’t know if the survivors are lucky to be alive now because they’re stock with all the bad memories but it’s important to listen to what they have to say and to listen to the silence they want us to hear. We also have to know that the people who died are always going to be there and we have to remember them. I think the video changed the word ”silence” in my head. We can’t just forget it and turn the page, we have to keep the book and read it to everybody.

No matter how many hours I talked about this topic at school, I’ll never be able to understand how something like this could happen and how there can still be people who approve some of the things that happen. The things Elie Wiesel went through are things I can’t even imagine, it is so impressing how he can keep on living his life and educate other people about what happened, like this we will never forget what happened and hopefully never make the same mistake again.

In these images we see what the nazis did to the kids, women and men… It’s really hard to see. But what i liked the most, it’s to see that some people are alive today, or some people survive and they didn’t die in the suffering. And i liked to see these images because we learn a lot of things. To conclude, I think the things i will remember about this video is the hair of everybody in the same room!!! Disgusting….
