Artificial Intelligence: a blessing or a curse?

What is artificial intelligence (AI)?

AI is a set of theories aimed at creating machines capable of having human-type conversations and simulating human intelligence. It is able to resolve math problems, write stories or texts for you. It is also able to respond to all your questions. It can perform various tasks such as speech recognition, decision making and even translation between languages! People mostly use an abbreviation AI which stands for Artificial Intelligence.

Is AI a good thing?

AI could be a good thing but it also could be a bad thing, depending on how a person uses it. AI can harm learning because it can do your homework or write written productions for you. Using it to do your school work can be detrimental to your learning. On the other hand, it

could save people a lot of time. AI could help teachers, doctors and many other professionals. We should remember that by saving our time, AI does us a disservice: it makes us lazy!

AI is an incredible tool but in the wrong hands, it could be used for malicious purposes such as crime, intimidation or the spread of fake news. AI could be scary for a lot of people because it is able to replace many jobs in the society.

Will robots replace humans?

AI can accomplish certain tasks faster than humans but it cannot completely replace humans due to its lack of ability to understand and feel the nuances and complexities of human life. It does not have feelings and emotions. In approximately 20 years, there will be a lot of robots but they won’t replace humans.

What is Chat GPT?

Chat GPT is a tool driven by AI technology. It is currently used by the public for free. It is an app where you can chat with a chat bot. It can assist you with tasks such as composing emails, essays and short messages. It can even write stories, poems or songs. This app can answer any question. You can also play games with it such as Guess Who or do riddles. When you feel alone, Chat GPT can keep you entertained and challenged.

Is AI dangerous for humanity?

Some scientists believe that future intelligence systems could be as dangerous as pandemics and nuclear weapons. There is a risk of AI can get smarter than people. Elon Musk, along with other CEOs of several AI companies asked for a six-month pause on new advanced AI development. Why is everyone so concerned? In short: AI development is going way too fast.
